From the moment I saw the tiny photo in a vintage magazine, I knew I wanted to make a painted version of it. The joy, the unity, was beautiful. This month's theme for my daily paintings is "Body Language," and it took me a few paintings til I felt ready to tackle this one, but it came out lovely. I was able to paint it with the same joy that it conveys.
