I love the long days of summer. The farther north you live, the longer those days become, and in June here the sun comes up before six o clock. As an early riser, this is a gift.
It means that I can sneak outside with my paints before the kids get up, find a place to sit in my garden, or next to a field or a tree, and paint. The gentle morning light , the peace and quiet is a beautiful way to start the day. A chance to pray and to take in the amazing theatre of creation.
