I finished "Autumn Tapestry". At 30 by 36 inches, it's the largest painting I've ever done. It felt good to have room to play with details and composition.
I started by working in layers of abstraction, and pulled details out from that. That was new for me, but it's a procedure I expect to use often. Also new was using alcohol inks... I'm wondering where they have been all of my life. Love 'em. Working toward a softer color palette.
"Sweet Dreams", below, was a reworking of a painting that I did last year, using some of the new techniques and color palette.
